A real, working theatre in the middle of Barking, The Broadway has a seated capacity of nearly 350!
Originally the Barking Assembly Hall, the theatre was designed in the 30s and opened in 1962. The college joined forces with the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham to redevelop and modernise it, and the venue was reopened in 2004.
The Broadway offers a modern, light and flexible space, and it boasts high-specification sound and lighting facilities, rehearsal rooms, a recording studio and a fully equipped music technology room.
It provides our production arts students with a realistic and hi-tech working environment where they can develop their creative skills, and work on collaborative projects that will build their understanding of the many potential roles within the production industry.
Our Barking campuses are all in the centre of town. From Barking station (rail, overground and underground) it’s 7 minutes’ walk to the Broadway Theatre.
You can find more information about The Broadway Theatre here on their website.
Our campuses offer accessibility to disabled students and visitors.
